Volunteer At Calvary

God calls us to serve others, faithfully administering His grace in many forms. Once a week, once a month, or even once a quarter, we have opportunities for you to get involved that will create new relationships within the family of God. As you serve, God will shape your character to be more like His.

We rely heavily on the faithful commitment of our volunteers, who serve the congregation in many ways to help facilitate our gatherings every week at the Monroe Boys & Girls Club. Rather than fostering a consumer mentality within the church, where we passively benefit from the efforts of a few, we are called to serve one another as Jesus did and who said, “I am among you as the one who serves” (Luke 22:27). Some of the greatest community happens as we serve together. One of the ways this can be accomplished is by volunteering on Sundays.

Why we serve

God creates, calls, and even commands all members of the church to use their gifts to help and to serve others. As Paul says in Ephesians 2:10, "We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." No matter what ministry you choose, it is important to the Lord and to His church to get involved.

who can serve?

We believe that ministry flows from relationship with Christ first and then with each other. It takes time to develop relationships and understanding. For this reason, we would like you to have been attending Calvary for 6 months to one year before volunteering for most ministries.  There are a few ministries that you can begin serving earlier. Allowing for this time frame of attendance at Calvary will help us to be in the same flow of the Spirit and have some shared DNA as we begin to serve together.

To volunteer, please download the form below and return it to the church at your convenience.
